We are looking for an Assembly Technician with a background in mechanical assembly but also electronics.  Based from our clients busy workshop your day will be varied, you could be working on new builds, fault finding and repairing returns or checking calibrations.  As part of a skilled workshop production team you will use hand tools for drilling, tapping metal, fitting components, pipe/tube and compression fittings and undertaking general bench assembly.

This role would suit an experienced production technician who has worked in mechanical assembly but is confident with wiring, cable preparation, termination cables, fitting electrical components, connector, looms etc. Practical soldering and crimping experience is key (ideally through hole, wire to wire and basic SMD soldering) but positive attitude, team orientated and attention to detail is everything else. 

Your background should include the ability to work through detailed drawings to manufacture new products but also use PC’s to record your work, and maintain defined quality standards.
