Vehicle Test & Development Technician - Emissions & EV Range
ASL Technical have an exciting opportunity to work within a Vehicle Development Engineering Technical Centre working on the development of current and future vehicles. As the successful Vehicle Technician, you will be involved in a variety of development activities, from prototype vehicle exhaust emission & electric vehicle range testing in order to meet current and future Legislative requirements
As the successful Vehicle Technician, you will be involved in:
- Vehicle Chassis Dynamometer operation
- Drive Emissions test cycles to Directive & Homologation Standard
- On-road emissions testing
- Emissions analysis measurement
- Vehicle dis-assembly, assembly, & maintenance
- Vehicle fault finding
- Component measuring
- Instrumentation set-up
- Using vehicle diagnostic tools
- Data acquisition & data collation
- Facility & instrumentation calibration
Successful vehicle technicians will have proven experience, working within a specialist role at a dealership or independent garage. Experience working with Electric Vehicles would be a distinct advantage but by no means essential.
Due to the environment and from a Health and Safety point of view, individuals with at least level 3 NVQ are preferred.
Successful candidates can expect to receive the following in addition to the advertised rate:
- Overtime pay: 1.5 per hour (standard hours are 39 per week)
