Automotive Production - Quality Auditor

Automotive Production - Quality Auditor

ASL Technical is recruiting for a detail-focused and proactive Automotive Production - Quality Auditor to join a specialist automotive manufacturing environment in Woking.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining quality standards across exciting bespoke, heritage and specialist vehicle programmes. Working closely with production, logistics and workshop teams, you'll ensure that every vehicle and its associated components meet the required specifications before progressing through production.
If you have an eye for detail, a passion for quality and enjoy working in a fast-paced automotive environment, this could be the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily vehicle audits, identifying discrepancies against build specifications, CAD documentation, customer orders and quality standards.
  • Monitor and maintain production trackers, recording build progress, station status and any outstanding issues.
  • Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure parts are available at the correct production stations when required.
  • Identify, record and communicate quality issues and non-conformances, taking ownership of escalating problems and suggesting solutions.
  • Prepare and communicate daily production performance reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out pre-build checks to ensure production kits, customer orders and specification documentation are aligned.
  • Coordinate any required rework or post-fitment activities with production operatives and workshop technicians.
  • Ensure specialist components are handled correctly and appropriate quality procedures are followed throughout production.
  • Monitor relevant KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and health and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you'll have previous experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, with an understanding of production processes and quality control.
You'll also bring:
  • Experience identifying, investigating and resolving quality issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation.
  • Good IT skills, ideally with experience of SAP, MRP or warehouse management systems.
  • Strong organisational, communication and reporting skills.
  • An understanding of production processes, operational performance and quality standards.
  • The confidence to work with multiple departments and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
  • The ability to manage priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with a proactive 'can-do' attitude, who takes pride in maintaining high standards and isn't afraid to challenge or question something that doesn't look right.
You'll be organised, resilient and solutions-focused, with the confidence to communicate effectively across production, logistics and workshop teams.

If you're passionate about quality, have an eye for detail and want to be part of a high-quality automotive manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today through ASL Technical.
