ASL Technical is excited to support our pioneering client in their search for an Automotive Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding Engineering Applications Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled engineers eager to shape the future of specialized vehicle manufacturing through innovation and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Solution Design: Develop tailored solutions for the electrical and electronic systems of niche vehicles.
• Wiring Harness CAD Drawings: Produce 2D CAD drawings for wiring harnesses compliant with ISO standards.
• Documentation & BOMs: Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed electrical schematics for technical publications and training.
• Prototyping & Testing: Engage in component prototyping and conduct rigorous testing under real-world conditions.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of production and prototype vehicles.

Requirements

• Automotive Electrical Expertise: Solid knowledge of automotive electrics, electronics, and CAN bus systems is essential.
• CAD Skills: Proficiency in or a willingness to learn 2D Electrical CAD (E3 preferred) and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Driven Professional: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
